Thankfully, after almost two years, it looks like we're beginning to move forward from Covid restrictions, which means we may actually get a bit of use out of this year's diary.
We were busy in the run up to the end of last year with weddings, outdoor venues and an LPSS performance which has been captured on film by our good friend Marek Juricek. The Live @ Dunamaise Arts Centre performance was recorded last month in Portlaoise and will have several songs shot in HD with audio mixed by the ever dependable Brian O'Mahoney. Our sincere thanks also go out to Nick Anton and Vincent O'Shea who made sure the project ran as smoothly and safely as possible.
We are truly grateful to receive the funding for this project from the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport & Media under Minister Catherine Martin through Laois County Council and Laois Arts Office, and we hope to share this performance with you before the end of January.
In the meantime, we'll be posting Alf Harvey's photos from the recording to whet the appetite. In terms of our return to the stage, (following yesterday's positive news from the government), our aim is to hit the road once again from early February with new songs and a new show for 2022. And there'll be no stopping us.
Thanks for all your positive feedback and interaction over the last 22 months. It kept us going when things were getting difficult.
The lads
